"""packs/mavs/generate.py — the Mavs draft pack, written out from one place.

python3 packs/mavs/generate.py # rewrites every file in packs/mavs/ except this one

WHAT THIS IS. A question pack for *What Can It Do?* that explains how Mavs AI works in the map's own
terms: eight profiles — four surfaces, each with Mavs in the path and without — over six capabilities,
four of them new to the map (what leaves in a prompt), five entries above the ceiling, two mandates, and
four scenarios for the wrapper page. The pitch is one matrix pair: the same surface twice, side by side.

STATUS: A DRAFT, PENDING THE MAVS INPUT SESSION (the plan's D3). Every claim about Mavs below comes from
one source, mavsai.ai/llms.txt as read on 9 September 2026, and is tagged `derived` in every row. Nothing
here was measured, and nothing here was confirmed by Mavs. The questions Mavs has to answer before this
pack is more than a draft are listed in QUESTIONS_FOR_MAVS and published beside the pack. The plan's own
rule applies: "every claim about Mavs comes from mavsai.ai's own llms.txt and should be checked with them
before it is built on."

WHY A GENERATOR. The mesh, the unions, the picker and the manifest are derived from the profiles; writing
them by hand is how a pack comes to disagree with itself. This file is the authored half; what it writes
is the pack the game reads. The public pack's vocabulary and three of its capability records are copied in
verbatim (with their ids), so a delta drawn here means the same thing it means on the map.

**Status: a draft, pending the Mavs input session.** Every claim in this folder about what Mavs does comes from one source, `{SOURCE}`, and is tagged `derived` in every row. Nothing was measured; nothing was confirmed by Mavs. The plan's own rule: *every claim about Mavs comes from mavsai.ai's own llms.txt and should be checked with them before it is built on.* The questions Mavs has to answer are at the end of this file and in `scenarios.json`.

## What it is

A question pack for *What Can It Do?* — the same shape as [the public pack](../../data/index.html), so the same game plays it (`?pack=mavs`, or the Mavs vault). Eight profiles: four surfaces, each **with Mavs in the path** and **direct**. Six capabilities, four of them proposed here in a new family, `data` — what leaves toward a model inside a prompt — and two copied from the map. Five entries above the ceiling, so the set spans both directions. Two mandates. Four scenarios for the vault's wrapper page.

**The pitch is one matrix pair.** Without Mavs, the three disclosures are ● *open*: what is pasted goes as it is. With Mavs, they are absent from the grant — the model receives a stand-in, so the honest answer to *can it send the real value?* is *no* — and injection is held with a ○ *boundary*: detected and policed above the prompt, which is a control on the path and not the absence of the capability. The prompt leaves either way; a gateway changes what is in it, not whether it goes, and the pack says so rather than overclaim.

## The files

Generated by `generate.py` from the authored half at the top of that file; `pack.json` is the manifest with the content hash, in the site's hashing rule. The public pack's `vocabulary.json` and `mesh/ontology.json` are copied verbatim, as are the two reused capability records, so a delta drawn here means what it means on the map.
